KIDZFEST SUMMER CAMP

The KIDZFEST Summer Camp has been offered since 2008 as a means to stay in contact with the children during the summer months while providing a safe environment.

The success of the camp stems from the large number of staff and volunteers who show up every day.

The volunteers do everything from working with the children, preparing the activities, preparing the meals,  serving the food, and cleaning up after all have left.

Without the help from our partners through their time, funds and prayers, the summer camp program would not be such a success.

We want to say thank you to all those who stepped forward to help from Vaughan Community Church, Milal Church, Young-Nak Presbyterian Church, University Presbyterian Church, and members of ReachingUp.

During the camp we typically will have some special trips or visitors.

The local fire department love coming to visit and showing the children all of the equipment and gear they use.  Usually by the end of the demonstration, somebody gets wet.

A local martial arts school offers each year to come and demonstrate as well as lead some sessions in the types of exercise and moves.

Each day we provide snacks and lunch for free.  Some children are dropped off so early, they did not have any breakfast.  The staff always make sure that nobody goes hungry.

At the end of every camp, we hold a free community BBQ.  The children are able to invite their family and friends.
